2. Information we collect

Enquiry and booking forms. When you submit a form (wedding tour, Dine With Locals, trek, hotel, passport help, contact or newsletter), we receive what you enter — for example your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, city, travel dates, group size, meal or dress preferences, allergies and your message.
Host family applications. The online application asks for your name, city, mobile number, email and household details. Verification documents (identity and address proof, family and home photos and a home video) are requested by our team directly after you apply — never through a form on this website.
Passport assistance. If you use our passport help service, we collect the details and documents needed to fill in your application on the official Passport Seva portal. These are requested by our team directly, not through this website.
Messages. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email, phone or the chat widget, we receive your contact details and the content of your message.
Usage data. Google Analytics records how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. Your language choice is remembered in your own browser.

We never ask you to upload Aadhaar, passport or payment details through this website.

To reply to your enquiry and send you a plan and price.
To arrange the service you asked for — for example matching you with a host family, a wedding, a trek departure or a hotel.
To verify host families and keep guests and hosts safe.
To send our newsletter, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.

To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to deliver your booking or run this website:

People delivering your experience — for example your host family, trek leader or hotel partner, who receive only what they need (such as your name, group size, dates and food preferences).
Service providers — Formspree (delivers form submissions to us), Google Analytics (website statistics), Tidio (chat widget) and WhatsApp (messaging).
Booking partners — flights, activities and eSIMs are booked on partner websites such as Travelpayouts partner sites (including flights.namastetrip.in) and Klook. When you click through, the partner collects your details under its own privacy policy.
Authorities — where the law requires it.

5. Payments

Payments for flights, activities and eSIMs are handled by our partners on their own secure websites. NamasteTrip does not collect or store card details on namastetrip.in. Prices for NamasteTrip experiences are confirmed in writing before you pay.

6. Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your language choice, measure traffic (Google Analytics) and support the chat widget and partner links. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. See the Cookie Policy for details.

7. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and booking details only for as long as needed to answer you, deliver your booking and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave earlier. These rights apply to every visitor, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom, the GDPR. 9. Security

The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and enquiry details are available only to the NamasteTrip team members and partners who need them to arrange your booking. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send card numbers or passwords by form, email or chat.

10. Children

Bookings that include children are made by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
